Redmond Entwined Workshop in OCAT Xi'an

'Redmond Entwistle's films strive to think recent history, its places and social issues; replaying, rebuilding and reproducing materials into an abstract and archetypal reality.'

– Buenos Aires Independent Film Festival

In October, British-born Redmond Entwistle comes to OCAT Xi'an as part of a cultural exchange trip to China made possible with a British Council / AIDF grant. Redmond's goal is to learn more about the cultural climate across China today. During his visit to Xi'an, Redmond will join us for a special screening of two of his recent moving image projects to discuss these and other works. This evening event is followed by a second screening one week later that presents the outcome of a moving-image workshop that he will lead over the course of the week. The event is tailor-made for video artists and film enthusiasts.
